One Night Band
In October, 2010, residents Phil Ford and Terry
Nicoludis embarked on a musical journey that
brought together two guys who had been in and
around music all their lives. Phil's experience
includes studio musician work in the San Francisco
music scene that included Santana, Brewer and
Shipley, and Mike Bloomfield. Terry kicked around in
bands in Pittsburgh and Charlotte for 35 years,
singing and playing Blues and Southern rock classics.
What started out as a few "jam" sessions at Phil's
in-house studio soon blossomed into auditions,
charting of music, rehearsals and finally
performances in the Sun City music scene. Adding
resident Jerry Walmark on drums, and bassist
Richie Rory, the core of One Night Band was
established. Adding Bruce Anderson on guitar and
vocals in the fall of 2012 rounds out the line-up.
The band delivers with a solid driving rock venue
that includes tunes from such classic rock favorites
as the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, the Hollies,
Santana, Bruce Springsteen as well as contemporary
country tunes from the likes of Kenny Chesney and
the Zac Brown Band. "Our goal is a dance band that
keeps everyone moving throughout the night. We
want it to be a party," says Nicoludis.
