Start with Text File
Download one from the Sample Songs page or download from the internet (e.g., search for "Sultans of Swing chords") and edit with Notepad or other text editor.
Command Line Options
To quickly create web pages (HTML) or Word (RTF) files for all song files in a folder, start a command window (Windows Start button, enter "cmd"). Copy transpose.exe to a system folder such as "C:\Windows", or use the Windows System to add the transpose folder to the PATH (Start, Computer, System Properties, Advanced System Settings, Environment Variables, PATH). Now you can enter commands into the command window to run Transpose.exe with various command line options.
Examples:
C:>transpose /h *.txt - create HTML files for all text files in the current folder
C:>transpose /r /s14 *.txt - create Word RTF files for all text files in the current folder, using large 14 point font size
C:>transpose /h /c35 *.txt - create HTML files with 2 column format, 35 lines per column
For command line use, these options are available:
/h creates a formated HTML file in the default format
/r creates RTF for Word
/i compact - reduce space between lines
/sn sets font size for chords and lyrics to 10 to 20 points (font size).
/s14 set lyrics and chords to font size 14 points (large)
/ln creates lyrics of size to 10 to 20 points (font size).
/mn creates chord of size to 10 to 20 points (font size).
/c creates two column HTML format
/cnn creates two column HTML format with nn rows per column
